About OGB coils & sheets
Flat steel is the raw material behind most of what OGB supplies: profile sheets, purlins, hoarding, ducting, panels and fabricated steelwork all start as coil. OGB stocks the four families used in the UAE market: hot rolled (HR) for structural fabrication, cold rolled (CR) for precision pressings, galvanized (GI) for corrosion protection and pre-painted galvanized (PPGI) for colour-finished products.
Coils are supplied to processors and roll-formers; sheets are cut to length for fabricators and site use. Grade, thickness, width, coating mass and colour are confirmed per enquiry against recognised ASTM, EN and JIS standards.

Coils & Sheets: common questions
What is the difference between HR, CR, GI and PPGI steel?
HR (hot rolled) is rolled hot with a scaled surface and is used for structural fabrication. CR (cold rolled) is re-rolled cold for a smooth, close-tolerance surface. GI (galvanized) is CR steel hot-dip coated with zinc for corrosion resistance. PPGI (pre-painted GI) adds a factory-cured colour coat over the zinc.
Which zinc coating should I specify for galvanized sheet in the UAE?
Z80 to Z120 is common for indoor ducting and enclosures. Z180 to Z275 is specified for exterior roofing, cladding, fencing and coastal sites. The coating mass (grams of zinc per square metre, both faces) is stated on the mill certificate.
Does OGB cut sheets to size?
Coils are supplied as full or slit coils; sheets are cut to length to the project cutting list. Share thickness, width, length and quantity for a quotation.
