What is GI fencing?
GI (galvanized iron) fencing is steel fencing with a zinc coating that protects it against rust. It is widely used in the UAE for boundary fencing, industrial perimeters, compounds, farms and infrastructure because it resists heat, humidity and coastal conditions.
What is a PVC Eco Fence and how is it different from GI fencing?
A PVC Eco Fence is a solid hoarding made of off-white uPVC panels clipped to a galvanized scaffold-pipe frame that stands on precast concrete blocks with rear braces; it screens the site completely, never rusts and needs no paint. GI fencing is open galvanized chain-link or mesh on posts, used where visibility through the fence is acceptable and long-term perimeter security is the priority.
What fencing is used on construction sites in the UAE?
Construction sites commonly use temporary fencing panels on movable feet for short-term enclosure, GI chain-link or PPGI corrugated fencing for medium-term boundaries, and solid hoarding panels where visual screening, dust control or branding is required.
