Aluminium Angles: overview and uses
Aluminium angles are L-shaped extruded sections in 6061 or 6063 alloy, supplied mill finish, anodized or powder coated, used for frames, trims, brackets and corner protection where a light, corrosion-free profile is needed.
Extruded aluminium gives sharp, consistent corners and a clean finish straight from the die. 6063 is the general-purpose architectural alloy with the best surface for anodizing; 6061 is stronger and used for structural brackets and frames.
OGB supplies aluminium angles in equal and unequal legs, cut to length per enquiry, with anodized or powder-coated finishes available.

Aluminium Angles: common questions
6061 or 6063 aluminium angle: which should I choose?
6063 is the standard for architectural trims and frames because it extrudes with the best surface and anodizes evenly. 6061 is about 30 % stronger and is chosen for brackets, structural frames and machined parts.
Can aluminium angle be fixed to steel?
Yes, but isolate the two metals with a coating, tape or nylon washer and use stainless or coated fasteners, because direct aluminium-to-steel contact in a damp environment causes galvanic corrosion of the aluminium.
